BUT, you could use a tablet on which you've numbered 31 sheets. Here are a few suggestions:
1. You're tearing sheets only to test the automatic moment theory: the day you tear a sheet without thinking about it.
2. Use your best effort to tear a sheet at the same time each day.
3. Keep what you're doing to yourself. If you want to do this as a group project, don't talk about it.
4. Write your daily response, especially those that tell you to abandon the experiment. If you forget to tear your sheet one day, don't fret, tear your sheet and keep going.
5. Think "boutons".
